Love this! Brushes are so fun to mess around with. :3 I love cityscapes and you definitely put a lot of depth in this one! I would add a bit of clouds in the back or something. But I do like this!

ah, but is that blue sky, or is it the distant inner wall of the dome..?! see, i did the buildings closest to camera first, then flipped that layer 90 degrees and put it in the background. that got me thinking of Inception and in my head this is an interior scene. i know, it doesn't show at all in the actual picture...

Oooh! Well there's a completely new way to think of it :o Haha that's cool though! As an artist, I find myself thinking up details and ideas that aren't in the picure... quite often! :XD: Makes it more fun to draw though really... Because then you're building a story! :3

hmm, reading the description i wrote, i did say "the city in the sky" so who wouldn't think the blue is actually sky? the reason for this disconnect is that i played around with this pseudo-elizabethan place name generator [link] for an hour when choosing the title of the drawing. by that time i had forgotten what i actually drew... so then i just wrote "welcome to mollsgate, the city in the sky" without thinking. i should pay more attention!

Haha true! Well, it could still be in the sky, but in an enclosed space...

Loving those little lights! This shows that not every drawing has to be detailed and rendered :) well done.

might help if you try to imagine the purposes of a building.

Like, thinking that this structure is a forge, how might that change the design hints that it is? Fire plumes? Smoke stacks? Sparky windows?
